The internal parts of automatic transmission include –
- Planetary gear system – It contain more than one gear set providing reverse gear and forward gears.
- Torque converter – It is located between transmission gears and engine. It amplifies and transfers power from engine to transmission.
- Clutch pack – It contains alternating discs.
- Bands – These are steel straps having frictional material on one side.
- Oil pump
- Throttle cable
- Valve body
